HOUSTON— April 30, 2019— Currently, there are more than 135 million cell phones, 23 million televisions, and 31 million computers in landfills in the United States that don’t have to be.
HOUSTON— January 9, 2019— When CompuCycle leaders looked at automating the company’s e-scrap processing, they realized there was no point in reinventing a well-functioning wheel. Colt Recycling, which has done business with CompuCycle, was already successfully using a custom-designed shredding and separation system in New Hampshire.
The great thing about business is being able to help people and make their lives easier. A byproduct of running a profitable business is the ability to make a significant impact within the communities we serve. Exxon Mobil is a great example of a company that uses its platform to make a difference in the lives of others.
CompuCycle is awarded the Ebby Halliday and Maurice Acers Business and Industry Recycling Award by Keep Texas Beautiful Learn more about this awesome group of award winning recyclers! Award Announcement Thank you KTB!

HOUSTON— September 14, 2017— “The Basel Action Network (BAN) has issued a second report presenting information derived from its GPS tracking activities. Like the first report from a year ago, this report names electronics recyclers and leaves the casual reader presuming each named recycler is complicit in illegal exporting (part of an “export chain,” as BAN puts it).
September 6, 2017— CompuCycle had no prior knowledge of the BAN press release on September 6, 2017. We take issue with that release. We are horrified to be listed by BAN as a “Scam Recycler.” CompuCycle did not export a printer from our Houston facility to Hong Kong. What actually happened is as follows: CompuCycle delivered 15 skids of printers to our approved recycler in Fort Worth, Texas on July 13, 2017, and this is documented
