Residents can drop off their electronics through our side entrance by loading the electronics onto carts (provided by CompuCycle). If any of the materials are heavy, please allow us to assist you. (Note: Our Offices are closed for lunch from 12-1 pm each day, the drop-off is open during this time- a CompuCycle team member is available to assist you.)

Unfortunately, due to insurance and safety reasons, CompuCycle does not pick-up recyclable equipment from residences. However, you can drop off your e-waste at our main processing facility or the scheduled recycling events we participate in.

CompuCycle never charges any fees for our residential e-waste recycling. We are a Permanent Drop-off Recycling Site for Houston and participate in many scheduled Recycling Drives.

Secure Data Destruction is of prime importance at CompuCycle, and ALL hard drives and other data media received from residential sources are destroyed in our industrial shredder. Once shredded, there is no possibility of recovering any data.

CompuCycle offers the largest list of acceptable items. If your item is not on the list, give us a call or email us!

  1. CompuCycle is open 5 days a week at our main processing facility and has a drive-thru area where we can assist you with heavy items. Details here.
  2.  View our map for the closest in your area, each having different hours (phone numbers and hours provided on the map by clicking on the map icon).
  3. CompuCycle participates in many scheduled recycling events hosted by the City of Houston and private organizations throughout the area, each offering a drive-through service for your convenience.

CompuCycle responsibly recycles all residential equipment we receive in conformance with R2 (Responsible Recycling) standards we are certified for. This means that equipment is broken down into its parts, such as a PC, power supplies, motherboards, processors, plastic, metal, floppy drives, hard drives, cables, etc. Once broken down, they are then sent to various certified refineries that recycle and recover any materials reused in other manufacturing processes.
